GILBERTO MELO MEDEIROS January 27, 1938 - October 1, 2003 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gilberto Medeiros on October 1, 2003 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Gilberto is survived by his wife of 40 years, Maria Medeiros; son Danny (Cyndi) daughter Paula (John, J.J.) grandchildren, Brittany, Destinee, Devron, David, Daphnee; sister Maria Natalia; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Manuel and Maria; sister Maria Jose. Gilberto was born in Ponta Garca, Sao Miguel, Acores. He arrived in Winnipeg in 1966 where he worked as a machine operator at Structural Glass until he retired. He loved spending time with his family especially grandchildren. Prayers on Friday, October 3 at 8:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, on 181 Austin St. North. Funeral Service will be celebrated on Saturday October 4 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Church with Reverend Father Jose Eduardo Medeiros officiating. Entombment at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum to follow.
